Gold Star Feedback

Graham Whittaker came down from Bolton to pick up his BT-H mag-dyno conversion.  Graham has several bikes and wanted the mag-dyno to use on his B.S.A. Gold Star.

Graham telephoned us the next day to tell us that he had fitted the BT-H mag-dyno conversion to his Goldie and given it a run.  He kindly sent us the letter below with some feedback on his initial findings.  He has promised us a photograph when he has mastered his digital camera.

"On the fitting of the electronic mag the bike fired up first kick, I will just have to do a bit of fine tuning with the carb now for slow running.

The bike runs great with a good pickup and seems all round a bit smoother, though I have only done a few miles on it as yet.
The ignition timing was easier as the mag is locked when fitting the mag pinion, it now does not move on the taper when tightening.
Thank you for your service, I will keep you informed of progress with the ignition system, though my Goldie will be put in wraps soon for the winter, though with the good weather I keep putting it off.
